Owen Hargreaves Compares Donny Van De Beek with Muller

It is not surprising that the ex-players love their clubs so much that they keep advising the clubs about everything in sports. Owen Hargreaves is such a player who has a special place in his heart for Manchester united. He has compared the newly joined Donny van de Beek with Thomas Muller as both their playing styles can complement each other. He thinks, in any clash with ester United, Donny van de Beek can be the trump card against Thomas Muller of Bayern Munich and can give him tough competition to place the ball for the forwards of the team. Due to some dormant performances by the Dutch skipper, Manchester United Coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer put him out of the team, but now he has got his place back. According to Owen Hargreaves now it will be hard for Gunner to keep him out of the team.

Donny van de Beek left Ajax FC as he was not having enough opportunity to play in the first team and Gunner kept giving him chances in the first team. But as this is temporary, he also had to face some difficult times in Manchester United too. He was kept out of the team by Gunner as his performance was not up to the mark of Gunner’s expectations. But in the match of Champions League against RB Leipzig, he proved to be one of the best contenders for a position in the first XI.

WILL UNITED MAKE EXCEPTION FOR BALE?

Manchester United seem to have closed the window for Jadon Sancho to join this summer from Borussia Dortmund. While the club seeks an addition in defence, they are yet to decide for right wing. The arrival of Donny van de Beek has strengthened the middle especially as the club has not indicated they will sell any of the current stars in the role.

With Gareth Bale and Real Madrid in talks to end their standoff, the Welshman could negotiate to terminate his contract if the club will allow him to leave for free. Since he joined in 2013, his transfer costs should have been fully amortized. Zinedine Zidane does not have much need for him in his squad and to avoid further embarrassment and non-efficient use of wages, the club could allow him to leave finally after blocking efforts in the past.

COMAN WELCOMES SANE, CITY TO WELCOME HAVERTZ

Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman says he welcomes the signing of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane this summer. The German side expects Sane to become the first consideration for the role due to the inconsistency and fitness issues of Coman. However, Coman says it would not be a problem at all if the German joined.

He says it is until Bayern say they no longer require his services that there would be a problem. He is confident that Bayern know his offerings so signing Sane from Man City has no bearing to his future at the club.

CITY WANT SWAP DEAL WITH BALE

Manchester City have indicated their interest in wantaway Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale. Reports in Spanish media have suggested that City are looking at a possible swap deal with Leroy Sane in order to bring the Welsh international to Etihad stadium.

Gareth Bale have endured a very rough spell with Madrid fans since his arrival in the Spanish capital. The Wales international has been said to favour other activities over his commitment to the course in Madrid. He was seen raising a flag that reads, “Wales, Golf, Madrid in that order” – a move that further infuriated the Madrid faithful. Bale has only played a handful of games for Madrid this season, as he has struggled with injuries.

Dimitar Berbatov happy that Odion Ighalo has proved him wrong

Manchester United favourite Dimitar Berbatov has been pleased with the performances of Odion Ighalo in the Red Devils shirt and admits that the striker has proved him wrong. The Nigerian was a shock loan signing from Shanghai Shenhua on deadline day in January and there were initial doubts whether he could make an impact with the club.

However, the former Watford man has managed to impress with the limited gametime on offer and he has already contributed three goals from two starts in the Cup competitions. Speaking to Betfair, Berbatov said that he is ‘really happy’ with Ighalo’s early success with the Red Devils and particularly admired the physical aspect of his game.

Victor Lindelof shuts down Manchester United exit speculation

Sweden international Victor Lindelof has clarified that he is fully committed to the Red Devils and he has never considered a fresh challenge away from the club. The centre-back was frequently linked with a move to Barcelona during the summer and his agent recently acknowledged that the Red Devils turned down an enquiry from the Spanish champions.

Since then, Lindelof has penned a fresh five-year deal with the Red Devils with the option for another 12 months and he has now stated that he is clearly content with the proceedings at the club, he told Expressen: “A lot has been written, but as far as I am concerned I have a contract with the Red Devils and I am a loyal type. For me it was never a doubt, I wanted to stay at United and believe in what we do, that’s why I signed a renewal. I love to represent United and wear that shirt every day. My goal since I arrived is to win titles and do good for the fans, but I haven’t won anything yet so my big goal is to do it.”

Carragher believes Liverpool need to capitalise on Manchester City’s slow start

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes the Reds must capitalise on Manchester City’s stuttering start to the Premier League season. The Citizens have been hampered by injuries to central defensive duo Aymeric Laporte and John Stones and the former is expected to be sidelined for a significant part of the season following a knee surgery.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Carragher said that the Citizens have been hampered by multiple injury concerns at the heart of the backline and that has contributed to the Reds gaining an eight-point advantage at the top of the standings. He added that the Merseyside outfit must not get carried away with the outcome and they need to capitalise as much as possible.

Anthony Martial speaks on blossoming partnership with Rashford

Anthony Martial has spoken about his blossoming partnership with Marcus Rashford this season. Both Martial and Rashford have scored two Premier League goals respectively this term but the former has been entrusted with the role of leading the line following the summer departure of Romelu Lukaku.

In an interview covered by Sky Sports, Martial said that there is a competition between him and Rashford in training as they seek to outclass each other with the goals scored. The Frenchman added that he does not have any concerns interchanging positions with Rashford during the game as it only increases the goalscoring threat.

Solskjaer wants more than just fourth with Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that the club won’t be satisfied with a push for the top four next season. The Red Devils were far off from competing for the Premier League title last season as they finished sixth on the table, but Ole is aiming to make amends with a strong showing next term.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Solskjaer said that the top four remains the minimum objective and United should push further for potential silverware, given the reputation of the club, he told: “We’ve got to aim for further up than fourth, we’ve got to, that’s just being at Manchester United. I’d rather be an optimist and be wrong than a pessimist and be right. I can’t say that these players won’t be challenging for big trophies because they have the quality. They do have the chance and we just need that consistency. We need a good start and we need to keep working every single day and not get our eyes off the targets.”

Jamie Carragher suggests Tottenham are guaranteed a top-four spot

Liverpool legend-turned-pundit Jamie Carragher has said that Tottenham Hotspur are assured of one of the remaining two Champions League places, considering they have the easier Premier League run-in. Only three points separate third-placed Tottenham Hotspur from sixth-placed Manchester United but Carragher has made his mind up regarding Spurs’ qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher indicated that Chelsea squandered the chance to win on Monday night where they only managed a 2-2 draw against Burnley at Stamford Bridge. He added that the Blues could now tussle with Manchester United for the final Champions League place with Spurs likely to cement the third spot for the season.
